Light airy feel created by using light colors with white trim along with many windows allowing natural light into room.

The exposed beams along with the square lights in the cabinets give this kitchen a country feel.  Use of earth tones, green, blends well with the stain on the beams

The very faint green in this kitchen gives the feel of color and yet allows a more airy feeling giving a crisp clean feel to the room.

Contemporary style accents go well with the use of cool grey colors in this kitchen.  Fewer windows moodier lighting also aid in the contemporary theme.

White trim with light blue grey wall colors allow for a fresh, light feeling to this common area of the home.

A faux finish here adds much character to a smaller living area.  Notice the lack of wall décor.  Most faux finishes will act as the décor.  This is a stipple plus veining finish.

Use of deeper neutrals give a cozy feel to this living area.  The white trim along with white ceiling give nice accents against the darker wall color.

Accent areas are the main item in this living area.  Notice the light color above the fireplace nicely offset from the deep pink.  The décor upon the wall really draws out the contrasting look.

This earthy, down tempo room is largely brought out through accessories.  The wall finish is a faux finish of three colors along with a suede like feel.

Spanish tile and area rugs offer a unique feel to this living area.  Deeper neutrals along with nice contrasts of white trim and ceiling, as well as the darker stained wood furniture really bring out a south western feel to the room.

Home with drywall accents such as ledges and archways tend to have difficulty with color ideas.  This room is well laid out with much of the contrast coming from décor.

Foyers and stairways are areas commonly ignored, but with good thought could be beautiful areas in your home.  Use of accent color on one wall along with certain portions of the stair railing stained against white trim really make this area nice.

Stair risers painted against the stained stair tread give excellent contrast adding life and color.  A light grey, cooler side of the range, gives the area a crisp feel.

In this area, where much is happening, a common color is smart.  This common color blends all areas together making the area less busy.  Accents can come from décor and the trim, doors and stair railing.

Bedrooms are more excepting of bold color schemes, especially smaller rooms.  Here accents such as mirrors and pictures frames allow nice contrast.

Reds are very hard to get right.  In this living area the red works ok, due to the white ceiling and trim along with the golden oak wood flooring.  Usually it is better to use reds in smaller rooms.

Hallways do not have to be boring.  Here wainscoting has been installed below a chair railing.  The upper and lower portion are painted the same color but it is the trim that adds the contrast.

This hallway has a lighter floor veneer and so the contrast really comes from the ceiling and trim.  Notice the darker colors found there.  Very nice use of neutrals giving the area a south western feel.

Ceilings can be accented by installation of fake beams such as here.  These beams can be stained wood or painted drywall.  Here the stained wood is pickled to soften the feel.

Fake beams have been added to give the room a feel of old fashioned construction.  The wood is stained against a flat white ceiling.  Country or cathedral feel is the objective here.

An area commonly ignored are ceilings of porches and entry ways.  The ceiling below a second floor balcony has had wainscoting installed and stained with a beautiful finish applied.  Stained wood is often accented by adjacent white columns and trim.

Office areas are usually lacking in variety.  Calm your senses and lighten your mood by using light neutrals trending on the cooler side.  Accent the color with white trim and nice floor veneers.

Here, accents are found in the furniture.  Furniture, flooring, décor always aid in the feel of the room. A Room must be complimenting  of all that is planned to be in it.

In echo of complimenting décor, notice the mantel colors and the area rug colors.  This room nicely utilizes color accents to segment the room in pleasing manner.

Pickled finish on the flooring and light finishes on furniture give this room a east coast feel.  The overall mood in the room is light, fresh, springy and soothing.

In some rooms, the walls may serve as a canvas for your décor.  This particular room does this well.  Notice the colors used are found in the same family.  Also notice contrast used in the light flooring along with white ceiling.  Too much color is not always a good thing.
